About us
The International Dioxin Symposium provides an open public forum for presentations of cutting edge scientific research on POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants) across all disciplines, including analytical and environmental chemistry, molecular biology, human health, risk assessment and risk management.
The Symposium has been held annually since 1980. Japan, the United Kingdom, China, USA and Belgium have hosted the event over the previous five years and for the first time the Symposium will be held in Australia in 2012. Previous symposia have consistently attracted 800-1,000 delegates from over 40 countries, with internationally recognised experts across a diverse range of fields accepting invitations as keynote speakers. Corporate investment in previous symposia included typically upwards of 30 key sponsors and exhibitors.
More details of previous symposia can be found on: www.dioxin20xx.org.
