1. Please use the abstract template to prepare your abstract

2. To submit an abstract, follow the ‘Submit abstract’ link below to access the Zone.

3. If you are a new author, follow the prompts to enter your contact details. An email will be sent to you confirming your details and providing your personal access key for the Zone.

4. To submit your abstract, from the Zone homepage, select the ‘Submit an abstract’ tab and follow the instructions to enter the abstract details and then upload your abstract as a word document.

5. If you leave the system without entering your contact details or having provisionally submitted an abstract, data will be lost.

6. A pdf copy of your abstract will be generated automatically by the system. Depending on the number of people using the Zone, this may take a short time to complete. You can view the status of your submitted abstract on the ‘Review a submitted abstract’ tab.

7. It is the presenter’s responsibility to ensure that all submitted abstracts appear correctly under the ‘Review a submitted abstract’ tab. You will be contacted by the Symposium managers if there are any problems with your submission.

8. Submitted abstracts can be edited up until the submission deadline (31 May 2012, midnight, AEST). After this date, no further changes will be possible.

9. If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement reflecting the reasons for this decision must be sent to: info@dioxin2012.org, no later than 1 June 2012.

Abstract topics and sessions:
  • All abstract topics and sessions are listed on the scientific program page of the Dioxin 2012 Symposium website here. Please note these sessions may be subject to change.

Please note the following:

  • Abstracts must be submitted by 31 May 2012 for consideration by the Session Chairs. Please note that abstracts for poster presentations can still be submitted after this deadline – please contact us if you need to submit late. Authors will be notified of initial abstract acceptance or otherwise via email by 25 June 2012. The decision of acceptance of abstracts is at the discretion of the Session Chairs.

  • All presenters are required to register for the Symposium and pay the registration fee. All presenters must register by the early bird date 2 July 2012. Failure to register by this date will result in the presentation being withdrawn from the program, and the abstract will therefore not be published.
